The St Goran Playing Field is a lovely site that includes a playing field, children’s play area, tennis court, changing rooms and community room – all for use by the local community in, and visitors to, the Parish of St Goran.
It has a beautiful rural view over the countryside and also looks out to sea across Mevagissey Bay.
The playing fields are entirely managed and run by local volunteers.
Facilities for All
Football Pitch
All are welcome to play on our pitch.
Tennis Court
All are welcome to play. The court is free to use, but donations towards upkeep are very welcome (see below). The court net is in place from Easter until late Autumn.
Children’s Play Area
This was refurbished and extensively rebuilt in 2022.
Community Room
The Community Room is available for hire for events and group activities – for more information, please contact Mandy Walsh on 01726 843808

Football Club
If you’re over the age of 16 and interested in playing football, please contact Mick Ayres on 01726 844912.
Practice nights are Wednesdays at 6pm (at the Playing Fields between the end of March until the end of October).
Gorran & Mevagissey Rainbows and Brownies
The group meets every Wednesday from 4.30 to 5.30. For more information please contact Lynne Gouldsmith, 01726 842484.
Gorran and Mevagissey Men in Sheds
The group has its base on our site, in a container tucked beside the Community Room. Registered members can access the shed to come and workshop at any time. The standard charge for room bookings is from £10 and includes use of a small kitchen and heating.
